For a more moisturizing treatment, I blend in a little bit of the Honey Mud cleansing silk by May Lindstrom Skin, or some cleansing oil and honey.

The problem solver

The human body is a self-healing mechanism. When we are in connection with ourselves, we know what our body needs.

On a daily basis, it is often craving for more oxygen and water to keep everything flowing. We get thirsty so that we would remember to drink. When we sit in a position that blocks the circulation, our leg getting numb is our body’s way of telling us that it needs more air.

The more we pay attention to the daily messages, the easier it is for us to notice, when we are getting out of balance.

If we are quick to catch the message, we do not need to live through the flu that forces us to rest, or get those breakouts on our skin as messengers of more mindful being and self-love.

I have taken the habit of greeting every dry spot or blemish on my skin with respect. Thank you for showing me where I am in terms of the balance of my mind and body.

Surely, this is not my first reaction always. But with each thing in my physical apparatus I would like to heal, I first want to be friends with. Why?

The only way to become a more beautiful person is to love yourself more. And by self-love I mean the kind of positive and compassionate friendliness you would comfort a small child with, after they have fallen down and hurt themselves.

The more we stress about not being physically perfect, having the perfect hair or whatever, the more dissatisfied we are: with ourselves as well as other people and their qualities, how they treat us, and so on.

And the more we appreciate and encourage ourselves, the more we shine. The more beauty we see around us. When we are friends with ourselves, being kind and understanding towards other people comes naturally.

Next time you see physical evidence of some dis-balance or dis-ease in your body, before rushing into treating it, try taking a moment just to sit with it.

I am where I am, and it is okay.

It feels good to take care of yourself because you want to offer yourself good things. It does not feel that good to try fixing your diet or skincare routine because you cannot tolerate what you consider imperfections in your body. You sense the difference, right?

To offer myself good things, I play home spa. Cleanse my face well, make a facial steam and continue with a mask.

The Problem Solver by May Lindstrom Skin is great for an intensive and powerful purifying. It deep-cleanses and tightens the pores, extinguishes inflammations, heals blemishes and simply makes you feel more radiant.

In a small bowl, mix one or two teaspoons of powder with an equal amount of water and blend to create a soft mousse. Apply on face and neck and leave on for 45 minutes, or until the mask is completely dry.

I use the ceramic treatment bowl and brush from the same line. They are the perfect utensils for the process, and seriously spa material.
