Iceberg roses are some of the hardiest repeat-blooming roses available. This year, they produced so many flowers month after month that, at one point I stopped deadheading them to let them do what they do, that is, produce fruit and rest.

I found some gorgeous antique linens at the evening market in Senigallia. I wear the hand-embroidered nightgown all the time and it makes me think how relevant the arts and craft classes in the Finnish schools are.

Handmade items make our homes and wardrobes human. What is even better than buying handmade objects: making things with our own hands, be it knitting, sewing, woodwork, cooking or baking.
